I had back pain for years that eventually affected my life to the point that maintaining a home, and a job, much less engaging in the things I love - gardening and horses - was becoming increasingly difficult. I heard about the great results Dr. Inkrott's patients got with surgery so I made an appointment with him. I was impressed that he had genuine concern for my particular case. He listened, explained, and suggested at every appointment in an unhurried manner. My care from him before and after my surgery was excellent. The surgery itself changed, and bettered, my life! I no longer have ANY back pain. I can once again engage in the things I love. I am forever in Dr. Inkrott's debt.

After 6 back surgeries I was scheduled for a seventh surgery and was advised to get a second opinion. My sixth surgery was to remove rods and screws which had come loose and causing considerable pain. This meant that I was left with a number of missing discs.

The next two years for the most part I had very little pain. Then the pain came back to the extent I could not walk or stand for more than a few minutes. The surgery I had scheduled did not satisfy me that the missing discs were being addressed. So I sought a second opinion from Dr Inkrott. Dr Inkrott explained it would be very difficult to correct the problems I had due to having all the previous surgeries. He explained that he would have to be sure what joints and vertebra were causing the pain and would not perform surgery without finding what joints and vertebra needed to be addressed. He sent me to see a nerve block specialist with instructions to do a series of injections over the coming weeks. He found that some of my pain was coming from my SI joints, something no other surgeon had mentioned. He also found through MRIs and x-rays the gaps where the discs had been removed and the angle of my spine were a cause for my pain.

Dr. Inkrott never rushed or pushed me to do any surgery. He explained what he could do to correct my problems and told me to think about the surgery before committing to it. No surgeon I have seen has ever been this thorough his extensive testing and explanations made my decision to go ahead with the surgery was a very easy one. Three months after my surgery I’m walking three miles a day and standing without any pain. I cannot thank Dr. Inkrott enough.

Dr. Inkrott performed an XLIF on me in early December to repair a prior fusion that failed. The prior fusion was not Dr. Inkrott's. I walked out of the hospital less than 24 hours after surgery!!! I had been dealing with pain and discomfort for the last 4 years and probably some level of depression. No longer am I pained, numbed or discomforted. Dr Inkrott and his staff are wonderful. He provides excellent care and I am confident in his knowledge and ability to handle all my orthopedic needs as related to my spine. My mother has been dealing with severe lower back pain for 6 months now. In September when the pain began, they allowed her to suffer in extreme pain for almost two months before finally scheduling a MRI in late October and eventually surgery in November. Went through surgery only for the pain to come back full force March 1st. Now we are battling the same issues trying to get something done. She finally had an MRI today after complaining of extreme pain for three weeks. Every single day by noon she is crying to the point of hyperventilating because of the pain. She is missing work and forced to lie flat most of the day being that is the only way there is a little relief from excruciating pain. This medical team is again dragging their feet. What a disgrace of doctor to patient compassion. There is absolutely no way MRI slots are this backed up. Something is clearly wrong with the way this system is run. I am disgusted by the way she has been treated and ignored.
